What are you creating this summer?

Happy Summer….I have been busy revising the Aesthetic Assessment Tool for the classroom and getting some wonderful feedback from my “peeps”. Also, I finally started workin’ my Pinterest Boards for my fall classes. If you are on Pinterest already, check them out, if not, ask for an invite. And to keep my hands rally busy, I felted some designs on felt bowls. What FUN!! Karen Kline, an amazing teacher who uses Art as a Way of Learning® as her everyday work of art with children, sent me this special quote by Kurt Vonnegut. Now, go make art….

“The arts are not a way of making a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”
